Keri Noble was born in Fort Worth, Texas, but was raised in Detroit, Michigan, where she was raised in a religious home. Her father was a local Baptist preacher and she attended a religious high school. But despite her conservative upbringing, Noble was exposed to secular music at a young age, and identified with singers like Joni Mitchell, who used their music to tell a story. Noble began writing songs at an early age and continued to find her way as a solo artist. While playing gigs around the Detroit area, she was discovered by world-famous producer Arif Mardin. He helped her develop her voice, and she was soon signed to a recording deal with EMI/Manhattan Records. Her debut album, Fearless was released in 2009, and was well received. She went on to release a self-titled sophomore album with Telarc/Concord Music Group that has given the singer many accolades and a loyal fan base, especially in her native Detroit. Her second record was also a vehicle for success outside of the music business, when her song "Emily" was featured on Grey's Anatomy. And even though the awards and notoriety is great, Noble is more interested in how her music can inspire others. In early 2010, Noble toured Iraq to entertain the troops. After returning from her life-changing trip overseas, she began writing her next album, that she released through her own label, KikoSaysSo.
