K Ishibashi was born in Seattle, Washington, but spent the majority of his life on the East Coast. Ishibashi launched his solo career in 2011 when he opened for Sondre Lerche, Alexi Murdoch and of Montreal. A founding member and singer for Jupiter One, Ishibashi also tours as a violinist with Regina Spektor and of Montreal. His debut full-length album, 151a, is written mainly on violin, and was produced and played entirely by Ishibashi.
