Klipsch Music Center Indiana History

The Klipsch Music Center is an outdoor amphitheater in Indianapolis, Indiana that first opened in 1989, making it a major part of the local entertainment scene in the quarter-century that it has been operated. Originally called the Deer Creek Music Center then switched to the Verizon Wireless Music Center, eventually it was the Klipsch Music Center that stuck. The venue is most active during the summer months since it is an outdoor amphitheater and is operated by Live Nation, an organization that brings in the biggest names in the music business to perform at Klipsch Music Center.

The venue has long been a favorite among both touring artists and Indianapolis locals who flock to the amphitheater to see whatever show is taking place. Iconic bands like Phish, The Grateful Dead, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and many more have come to the stage at Klipsch Music Center to bring the house down, and you never know who is going to show up next when it comes to this renowned music venue. No matter how many other ways there are to experience music and entertainment these days, you still can't come close to topping the live-concert experience, particularly when it goes down at a place like Klipsch Music Center.
