Though they've moved around a little bit over the years, the Leopards ended up in the Patriot League in 1986 and have never looked back, helping to build a reputation for being one of the toughest teams in the conference. In both 2007 and 2008, the Lafayette Leopards had one of the top linebackers in the country patrolling the field, as Romans ended up being the Defensive Player of the Year in his junior and senior seasons to end his brilliant college career.
