Lander's Center History
If you've never been to Lander's Center in Southaven, Mississippi, there has never been
a better time to change that, as the schedule is again packed with top-tier events that will have everyone buzzing around
town. Over the years, there has been plenty of amazing shows, including big games featuring the Mississippi RiverKings of
the Southern Professional Hockey League, pro wrestling events and a variety of other shows, providing a little something for
everybody. As soon as you're there watching the big show the way it was meant to be seen, you'll be glad that you're not sitting
anywhere else, as the atmosphere at Lander's Center is sure to be absolutely hopping with enthusiasm.
First opened at
the turn of the millennium in 2000, Lander's Center has gone through a number of name changes, but still serves the singular
purpose of bringing high quality entertainment to the community. In between huge performers taking to the stage, hockey teams
battling it out, and intense boxing matches, Lander's Center also provides basic skills classes, youth hockey teams that also
teach how to skate, and of course the amazing Mid-South Fair. No matter what your taste is, though, you're sure to see something
that will have you keeping an eye on the events calendar from here on out.
Lander's Center Events/Teams
the RiverKings hockey team is the only sporting team to actually call the Lander's Center home, there's plenty of other sporting
and entertaining events that are constantly coming through. So no matter if you're in the mood for boxing, fairs, circuses,
ice shows, and everything in between, Lander's Center has what you need to have a great time. Though there are plenty of different
options out there for entertainment these days, there is nothing quite like actually making it out for a live concert or sporting
event that will have you buzzing long after it's all over.

Did you know that legendary
novelist John Grisham actually grew up in Southaven, Mississippi?
Well, now you do, and as you probably already know,
home towns tend to be fairly important in the development of a prominent writer – something Samuel Clemens probably
could have told you something about before he changed his name to Mark Twain. Before Grisham became a household name for novels
like "The Pelican Brief," "The Rainmaker," "The Client" and "The Firm," all of which were made into hit movies, Grisham was
heavily influenced by the legal process in Southaven, Mississippi.
