Leighton Meester grew up in Marco Island, Florida before making the jump to New York and eventually to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting. The doe-eyed Meester landed a starring role in the CW program Gossip Girl, which became a cult favorite in the late 2000s. Her vocal breakthrough came in 2009, when she lent her vocals to the Cobra Starship hit "Good Girls Go Bad."
After becoming a smash sensation overnight thanks to a cameo on "Good Girls Go Bad," Leighton Meester continued pursuing her own solo vocal career, making a splash with songs like "Somebody to Love" and "Your Love's a Drug." Meester also notched a hit with the song "Give in to Me," which she performed with co-star Garrett Hedlund on the Tim McGraw/Gweneth Paltrow film Country Strong.
