Lincoln Park Zoo History
There is nothing quite like a live show, and the Lincoln Park Zoo tends to have you covered
with interesting events throughout the year. Even though it's obviously a great zoo as well, it also brings together unique
shows that have music lovers talking all over Chicago before the opening ballad, making this much more than just your average
zoo. Founded all the way back in 1868 originally, it didn't take very long for Lincoln Park Zoo to become a major staple of
the local entertainment scene, but it also doesn't exactly hurt that an amphitheater was added and a whirlwind of artists
from different genres starting coming to the stage to light up live audiences. With so many great exhibits and other shows
to boot, the Lincoln Park Zoo is a place that you don't want to skip.
Lincoln Park Zoo Events Hosted

to be a part of, as this is a venue that is always in the middle of one amazing show after another. One week and you might
see someone like George Fitzgerald, and the next you might see story time events perfect for families with younger audiences,
making this the type of place that tends to have a little something for everyone regardless of age. Of course, the zoo remains
the center draw, as it has an unbelievable collection of amazing animals from all over the world that helps you experience
life in all of its different forms.
Lincoln Park Zoo Trivia
Did you know that the Lincoln Park Zoo started
with a simple pair of swans?
A gift from Central Park's Board of Commissioners back in 1868, the Lincoln Park Zoo started
with a pair of swans and soon added bear cubs to the mix, making it an early staple of the local Chicago community and a place
to marvel at the different types of animals it had to offer. Eventually it would add a primate house in the 1920s and continue
to build out from there, solidifying it as one of the best zoos in the nation in more than 150 years of operation.
Lincoln Park Zoo Experience
Whether you're on the right, left or somewhere in the center, you're bound to get
a great show if you come out to one of the Lincoln Park Zoo's live events. There isn't a bad seat in the house, which is something
that you really won't understand until you actually make it out to see it for yourself. With so many options on the calendar
and the guarantee of an amazing show, you'll be glad that you're not sitting anywhere else – even though there's a good
chance that the last thing in the world you'll be thinking about will be your seat. This is a venue that offers an opportunity
to see a few major exhibits during the day and maybe an intimate concert experience at night, making it the place to be for
those looking for something unique in the Windy City.
