Link Wray grew up in Dunn, North Carolina where he grew up with country music all around him. In 1995, Wray started out playing country music with the band Lucky Wray and the Palomino Ranch Hands. Due to illness and injury, Wray was advised by his doctor to not be the lead vocals anymore.
