Little Shop of Horrors tickets are even hotter purchases than tickets to
the movie of the same name were. This 1982 show is one of the first musicals in history to be based off of a (musical) movie
- 1960's film of the same name - instead of the other way around. Of course now, with the Disney musicals being produced all
over the place, this is not such a new phenomenon, but up until a handful of years ago, it was a great feat that a musical
could be adapted from a film and be so successful in its own right, selling out theaters long after the film began to sit
dustily upon shelves in movie rental stores.
Composed by Alan Menken with a book and lyrics by Howard Ashman, theater tickets to this
musical are a great purchase. Like the film, the musical tells the story of outcast Seymour and his love for the beautiful,
abused Audrey in the midst of their tough lives on "urban skid row." Possessing a green thumb, Seymour grows the plane he
lovingly names Audrey and finds fame with murderous consequences upon realizing what his plant requires to grow to its full
potential. Filled with rocking' '60's do-wop, Motown and pop ballads, this musical has been an audience favorite for years.
There's no way to experience Audrey, the man-eating plant, but live, onstage. To witness those leaves and vines gripping
at unsuspecting victims onstage and off, that is a thrill for the truly brave-at-heart that can only be truly appreciated
if witnessed live. So do yourself a favor, and get your "Little Shop of Horror" tickets today!
