About the Artists
Lollapalooza always brings all of your favorite musical
acts to one location for three days of music and fun. This year's lineup is not to be missed. Here are a few of the artists
who performed last year.
The Killers. The Killers have been one of the most popular bands in the world for the past
decade. Known for their big guitar sounds and their catchy hooks the Killers have released several hit songs and albums during
their time together. Sure their big hits sound great in the car, on your headphones, or booming out of the speakers of your
home entertainment system, but it pales in comparison to seeing the band live.
Mumford & Sons. Originating in December
2007, Mumford and Sons is comprised of multi-instrumentalists who at any given time play keyboard, guitar, drums, bass guitar
and traditional folk instruments such as banjo, resonator guitar and mandolin. Similar bands were popping up in the West London
community around the same time, elevating the term, West London folk scene.
The Lumineers. Since they formed in 2005,
the Denver-based Lumineers have been at the forefront of contemporary folk music with their trio of drums, cello and guitar.
While they regularly played shows over the years, it wasn't until 2011 when they first started getting some serious notoriety
after their single Ho Hey was played on the television show Hart of Dixie. In 2012 they finally released their self-titled
debut album which quickly went gold in the United States, Canada, and Ireland.
