Instrumental pianist Lorie Line first worked as a department store performer before she decided to start her own label (Time Line Productions) to release her own albums. She has since left her retail days behind to sell more than a million records and form a new standard of the new age / light classical music sound. Born in Reno, Nevada, Lorie Line started playing and performing the piano early on, and by the time she graduated high school had won two national classical piano competitions. She studied at the University of Nevada and moved to Minneapolis in 1989, continuing to perform at clubs and restaurants before recording her first album, Out of Line.
Lorie Line is one ambitious pianist. With her own record label and the creator of Pop Chamber Orchestra, she has released several albums that have done exceptionally well for the new age / classical piano genre. Line continues to release albums into the most recent decade. and will preview some of her old and new sounds at her next concert.
