Los Angeles Lakers Schedule in 2014-15
The Los Angeles Lakers are ready to hit the court for a big season of great
games in 2014-15 that should see them taking on all the toughest teams in the National Basketball Association. The Lakers
are coming off a tough 2013-14 in which the team struggled to win games without star Kobe Bryant on the floor. The Lakers
will gave to host some of the toughest teams in the league yet against his season, but with a great home crowd behind them
they hope to get some big wins at the Staples Center.
The Lakers will take on the rival Los Angeles Clippers multiple
times this season, and the Lakers would love to show the Clips that they're still the number one ticket in the City of Angels.
The Clippers won the Pacific Division title last season, something that can't sit with the Lake Show. Other tough teams like
the San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder will come to town as well this season, and the Lakers could show the league
that they're back in contention by getting some big wins against them. It should be another great season of Lakers hoops.
Los Angeles Lakers Team Info
The Los Angeles Lakers are looking to put together a bounce-back season in 2014-15
after the club struggled last year. The team was without Kobe Bryant for the entire season save a few games, and were unsurprisingly
unable to recover from the loss of their best player. Kobe should be back this year, but it's hard to know what to expect
from him coming off two major injuries. However, Bryant is known as one of the hardest workers in the league, so he's certainly
giving it all he has to rehab and be back into form as soon as possible. The Lakers landed a potential star player in the
draft this season when they selected Julius Randle with their first-round pick. Randle was one of the two best prospects coming
out of high school two years ago, and he was a double-double machine at Kentucky during his lone year there. Randle should
be able to start from day one for this Lakers team, as he is ready to crash the boards and score down low. The team also landed
point guard Jeremy Lin is a trade with the Houston Rockets, so Linsanity now heads west. The team is hoping that point guard
Steve Nash can stay healthy this season, as it could be his last in the NBA. Los Angeles also landed veteran big man Carlos
Boozer after the Chicago Bulls amnestied him for financial reasons. The Lakers will get him on a very reasonable salary. While
the future of this franchise is a bit unclear, what remains clear is that the team is looking to improve this season while
keeping their options open beyond 2015-16.
When fans hit the stands at a National Basketball
Association contest, they're treated to seeing some of the best players in the world hit the court in person and display their
skills. When you're there up close there is no doubt that these are the top players on the planet, as they'll leave your jaw
on the floor with that they're capable of pulling off on the hardwood. If you've never been out to see a Lakers home game
at the Staples Center, then you've really been missing out. This is one of the most legendary franchises in all of sports;
as a sports fan you owe it to yourself to see them hit the court this season.
Los Angeles Lakers Trivia
did the Los Angeles Lakers acquire Kobe Bryant?
The Lakers traded for the young star on draft night and it would alter
the course of the franchise forever. Kobe quickly established himself as being much more NBA-ready than most high school players
were, and he and Shaquille O'Neal eventually teamed up to form one of the best inside-outside threats in the league. While
Kobe was brash back in those days, he just kept improving his game and working hard to perfect his craft. When Shaq left Kobe
played like a man possessed, scoring in bunches each and every night. When the Lakers landed Pau Gasol, Kobe finally had a
sidekick that could get them back to a championship level, and the Lakers added two more titles. Bryant missed almost all
of last season due to injury, so nobody knows exactly what to expect from this future Hall-of-Famer this season. However,
it is Kobe Bryant, so Lakers fans can rest assured that he is working as hard as possible to get his body to where it needs
