2014 Louisville Cardinals Football Schedule
The Cardinals are back with another explosive team that has no intention
of going quietly, even if they have to play plenty of the best teams in the entire nation while playing their way through
the ACC. With games against the defending champion Florida State Seminoles, Boston College, Notre Dame, Syracuse, Wake Forest,
Miami (Florida) and plenty of others, the Cardinals have their fair share of tests this season, and you can bank on there
being lots of fanfare when and wherever the Cardinals take to the gridiron. Of course, it definitely doesn't get any better
than when the Cardinals take to the field at home at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium, where you can find up to 55,000 excitable
fans for all of the crucial moments of a big game.
And the great games get going right at the beginning of the season,
as it will be Louisville-Miami at home on Sept. 1 followed by home matchups against Wake Forest on Sept. 27, NC State on Oct.
18 and a highly anticipated matchup against the defending champion Florida State Seminoles on Oct. 30, which will bring in
plenty of fanfare. But even though home games are always all the rage around campus, Papa John's Cardinal Stadium isn't the
only place to see a big game, as road matchups can be every bit as exciting. Road matchups against the Virginia Cavaliers
on Sept. 13, Clemson on Oct. 11 and Notre Dame on Nov. 8 will also have plenty of Cardinals colors in the stands, providing
great opportunities to get out and see the Cardinals battle their way to a big road win.
No matter where the game goes
down, however, the Cardinals definitely won't be looking to go quietly in the ACC, a conference that is gaining a reputation
for being every bit as good on the gridiron as it is on the hardwood. These seats are likely to be as hot as any other season,
providing plenty of reasons to ditch the couch and make sure that you don't miss a second of the heart-pounding excitement.
There has never been a better time to see if the Cardinals have what it takes to make a move up the ACC standings.

Louisville Cardinals Football Trivia
Did you know that Johnny
Unitas is still the only Cardinal to ever have his jersey retired?
Though there have been plenty of all-time greats
over the years, nobody's star burned brighter than Johnny football, the all-world signal caller who became nothing shy of
a legend around campus during the 1950s. Unitas was one of the very best players in college history and then he went on to
the NFL, where he would take his game to yet another level while solidifying himself as one of the top quarterbacks in the
