About Low Country Jazz Festival

This year, the Low Country Festival is bringing everyone's favorite acts in jazz back to the Charleston area once again for four days of music and fun. This four-day festival has become a favorite for local Charleston residents, in addition to fans who travel from all over the nation to attend. The 2014 lineup of the Low Country Jazz Festival is set to include soul singer Bobby Caldwell, who dazzled audiences when he performed "What You Won't Do for Love" at last year's Soul Train Awards. This year's festival will also include instrumentalist Brian Culbertson, who also appeared at the 2012 Low Country Jazz Festival. Brian Culbertson is a master of the keyboard and trombone, and he was nominated for an NAACP Image Award for Best Jazz Album, and he received a nomination for a Soul Train Award for Best Contemporary Jazz Artist. In addition to Brian Culbertson, more prolific musicians are slated to perform at the 2014 Low Country Jazz Festival, including saxophonist Najee. The award-winning saxophonist has four gold albums and two platinum albums under his belt, and he has also won two Soul Train Awards for Best Jazz Artist.

Jazz lovers are in for a real treat this year, because Jazz Attack will also be performing at the Low Country Jazz Festival. Jazz Attack is a fan-favorite collaboration of contemporary jazz musicians, including acoustic guitarist Peter White, saxophonist Euge Groove, and trumpeter Rick Braun, all of whom have previously topped the Billboard Contemporary Jazz charts, and have shared the stage with musicians including the likes of Al Stewart and Joe Cocker. In addition, jazz pianist Alex Bugnon will be gracing the audience with his sweet tunes, and the legendary Boney James.
