LP Field History
Nashville's LP Field has been home to the Titans since 1999, when the venue first opened as home
to the NFL team. The field seemed to be lucky for the team when they first began playing at the new stadium. The team won
an impressive 16 consecutive games in their first season, including the postseason. As soon as the Tennessee Titans schedule
is released every season, Titans fans clamor for their tickets to the biggest games of the year, and for good reason. This
venue has seen some of the bets players in the history of the National Football League play the game.
LP Field is the home of the National Football League's Tennessee Titans, who hit the gridiron here each and
every season to compete with all the of the best teams in pro football. The Titans always have a tough schedule, and this
season should be no different. Fans of the Titans often see teams from the AFC South come to town, and these division rivalries
always make for exciting action on the field. Tennessee has a great rivalry with the Indianapolis Colts, who come to LP Field
to compete once every regular season. The Titans would love to dwarf the Colts on the field this season in front of their
home fans. Another division rival that will visit this season is the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jags always have a talented
squad, and the Titans know that they have to bring their best to secure the victory. There will be plenty of fantastic matchups
at this venue this season.
LP Field Historic Events
LP Field has seen its fair share of fantastic games
over the years, but probably none more famous than the Music City Miracle in 2000. In a playoff game against the Buffalo Bills,
it looked like the Titans were about to see their season ended. However, on a crazy kickoff return the Titans were able to
score the winning touchdown in the waning moments of the contest to advance to the next round. The play has gone down as one
of the most incredible moments on recent playoff history. The Titans went on to reach the Super Bowl that season, their first
in LP Field, though they narrowly lost in the big game to the St. Louis Rams.
