Folk singer Lucy Kaplansky immediately gravitated toward New York City's Greenwich Village following her high school graduation,
where she initially pursued a career in psychology before working with Shawn Colvin for her debut, 1994's The Tide. Although
it took her nearly two decades to record, her stint at Gerde's Folk City and the CooP (Fast Folk) earned her a wide audience.
Folk star and Hyde Park native Lucy Kaplansky took an alternative route following graduation, and has impressed audiences
since then with her dedication to the genre and unique sound that found a voice outside a typical upbringing. From her debut
release The Tide to Flesh and Bone, Ten Year Night, Every Single Day and Over the Hills, Kaplansky's work has impressed the
masses for years.
Lucy Kaplansky is still a big star on the folk music scene, and she will soon be bringing her biggest hits to a stage near
