Macklemore Tour Schedule
Macklemore has been a fixture on the hip hop scene since 2000, but in the past year or
so has really taken off to become one of the brightest stars in the genre. He is known for performing with Ryan Lewis who
provides many of Macklemore's beats. As his popularity has surged so has Macklemore's lyricism and live show and he now stands
at the forefront of modern hip hop. Macklemore is now one of the most popular hip hop acts on the road and while his hit videos
and songs are great to listen to at home or in the car or club, it is nothing compared to seeing him live. Tickets for this

About the Artist
had an early interest in hip hop after listening to Digital Underground and began writing his own rhymes when he was 14. As
he grew older he began to be more influenced by East Coast hip hop like Nas, Talib Kweli, Wu Tang Clan, Freestyle Fellowship,
Living Legends, and Aceyalone. After graduating high school, Macklemore attended Evergreen State College in Washington where
he earned a bachelor's degree. In 2005 he released his debut full length The Language of My World and the following year he
teamed up with Ryan Lewis which was when Macklemore's musical career really started to gain momentum. As he gained a bigger
following in the pacific Northwest, Macklemore began performing at major music festivals in the area including Bumbershoot,
Sasquatch, and Outside Lands. The duo have released two full length albums, The Language of My World and The Heist along with
several EPs. After the release of The Heist the duo rose to unprecedented success and fame. In 2014 Macklemore won Grammy
Awards for Best Rap Performance, Best Rap Album, and Best Rap Song. After winning the awards, Macklemore took to Twitter to
announce that he felt that Kendrick Lamar should have won the awards given to Macklemore and that he felt like he had robbed
The song Thrift Shop was released in 2013 along with a video that was uploaded
to YouTube. The video became a viral hit and received millions of views propelling the single to the number one spot on the
U.S. Billboard Hot 10 charts. The song was practically everywhere in 2013 and earned Macklemore Grammy Awards for Best Rap
Performance as well as Best Rap Song. The duo's popularity increased exponentially thanks to Thrift Shop and they began playing
some of the biggest concerts in the world including Lollapalooza, Rock the Bells, Bonnaroo, and more.

again erupts and sings and dances along to hits throughout the night. Some not in the know may think that Macklemore is an
overnight sensation, but he is a veteran performer who definitely knows his way around the stage and how to work a crowd,
this will be evident from the moment he hits the stage until the second he steps off accompanied by the cheers of thousands
of fans. The high energy output from Macklemore translates perfectly to the crowd and you spend the entire night dancing and
Macklemore wrote and recorded the single My Oh My as a tribute to former
Seattle area sportscaster Dave Niehaus who passed away. Macklemore and Ryan Lewis were invited to perform the song before
the Seattle Mariners home opener in 2011. All proceeds from the sales of the single were donated to support the Rainier Vista
Boys and Girls Club.
