It's not every day you get to see so many talented musical acts in one venue, and the Macys Music Festival is known to be one of the best music events around. As the festival kicks off this July, be sure to head over to the Paul Brown stadium so you don't miss a minute of the Macys Music Festival's stellar lineup.

About Macys Music Festival

The Macys Music Festival got its start decades ago in 1962, and it has since grown to encompass two days of performances by the hottest musical acts in hip hop, R&B, and jazz. The event originally featured jazz artists only, but it now presents a diverse array of musicians and acts. Previous performers have included Stevie Wonder, Patti Labelle, Miles Davis, Duke Ellington, Aretha Franklin, Earth Wind and Fire, and many more of the biggest names in the industry.

This year, fans will be delighted to see the legendary "Queen of Funk," Chaka Khan. Chaka Khan has sold an estimated 70 million records around the world, and she is the recipient of ten Grammy Awards. This prolific entertainer has enjoyed a successful solo career, and she is also known for her work in the funk band, Rufus, famous for hits like "Tell Me Something Good," "Ain't Nobody," and "Sweet Thing."

Also slated to perform this year is Robin Thicke, who recently rose to stardom with his song, "Blurred Lines." The phenomenally successful single hit the number 1 spot on the US Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and the Billboard R&B Songs chart. In addition to his success stateside, Thicke's single has found international success, also reaching the top of the charts in Canada, Ireland, Australia, Germany, the United Kingdom, and virtually everywhere else. In the U.S., "Blurred Lines" went on to sell over 5 million copies in 22 weeks, making it the fastest selling song in digital history.

If you're feeling nostalgic for some 80s R&B tunes, New Edition will also be performing at this year's festival. With songs like "Cool It Now," "Mr. Telephone Man," and "Lost in Love," this band dominated the airwaves and the charts during the 1980s, and their album "All for Love" ended up being nominated for two Grammy Awards for Best R&B Album and Best R&B Song.

In addition to Robin Thick, Chaka Khan, and New Edition, this year's Macys Music Festival will also welcome performances by Ne-Yo, Mint Condition, Charlie Wilson, K Michelle, Keyshia Cole, Chrisette Michelle, and After 7. Whether you're a fan of New Edition's 80s hits, or you dig Chaka Khan's unforgettable funk tunes, there is something for everyone to enjoy at the Macys Music Festival.
