This venue was built in 1934, but has undergone several renovations and reconstruction projects over the years. The Malkin Bowl was originally built as a replica of the Hollywood Bowl to a two-thirds size scale. The name of the venue is an homage to the wife of a former Vancouver Mayor, W.H. Malkin.
