The band formed officially in 2008 when childhood friends Nick Bruzzese and Wayne Waldrick decided to get serious about their musical careers. They had played around with songwriting and composing for many years, but the band didn't come to fruition until they committed to creating a pop punk band. With the addition of two other band members to sing and play drums, Man Overboard was formed and began working on their first three-song EP, Dahlia. While their first attempt at music stardom didn't top the charts, it was well-received and introduced the world to these skilled musicians. After releasing a compilation CD and another EP, the band put out their first full-length album Real Talk, which garnered much success, and is still their most popular album. In 2010, an Australian website called Killyourstero.com called Real Talk the best pop album of the year. They rode the fame of their first album into the arms of punk rock fans everywhere, and began opening for big name bands including Take Back Sunday, The Wonder Years, The Sellers, and Transit. The band went on to release another studio album and several more EPs, and there seems to be no stopping this band of punk rockers.
