The Mark Morris Dance Group was formed in 1980 and almost instantly began touring around the nation, originally in New
York and eventually throughout other US cities and Europe. Its first national television appearance was in 1986 when it
performed on the PBS series “Dance in America.” A few years later it became the national dance company of Belgium,
taking residence at the Theatre Royal de la Monnaie in Brussels.
With international showcases around the world, the Mark Morris Dance Group is currently based in Brooklyn, New York after
taking residence with companies around the world. They have performed and made homes in cities around the world, including
