Each year, the Marshall
Thundering Herd football team must face other tough teams who compete in the Conference USA football conference. The Marshall
Thundering Herd are part of the East Division of Conference USA, which means they are up against division rivals like UCF,
East Carolina, Southern Miss, UAB and Memphis.
The history of the Marshall Thundering
Herd football program dates back generations. In the decades since, the Marshall Thundering Herd have won more than a
dozen conference titles and graduated numerous All-Americans. In addition, the Marshall Thundering Herd has appeared in many
top bowl games like the Motor City Bowl, Tangerine Bowl, GMAC Bowl and more.
Whenever the Marshall Thundering Herd plays at home, it is on the field at the famed Joan C. Edwards Stadium. The intensity is
always fierce at Joan C. Edwards Stadium, and the Marshall Thundering Herd football team also brings that fire whenever they
head out on the road to face numerous opponents, including fellow members of Conference USA.
