About the Artist

Honing his talents as a country star since he was just 13 years old, the talented Marty Stuarty has been selling out concerts in his own right for years. The proud owner of a large array of spectacular guitars and also the original B-bender Telecaster guitar belonging to Clarence White, Stuart is incredibly invested in the genre of his profession, as it has influenced him to get to where he is today. From an early age Marty has been obsessed with country music, and even taught himself how to play multiple instruments at the age of twelve. Having learned to play both the mandolin and guitar at a young age, Marty Stuart got his start when he was hired by bluegrass legend Lester Flatt to play the mandolin when he was only thirteen years old. Stuart played with Flatt until his death in 1979 and from then on continued to work with other talented individuals, playing his trusty acoustic and electric guitars with famous artists such as the iconic Johnny Cash. It wasn't long after that Stuart left to pursue his solo career, gaining plenty of attention by the media along the way. Since starting his solo career, Marty hasn't looked back as he has been delivering his distinct hard country sound ever since. A living legend, you won't want to miss out on seeing Marty Stuart play at a venue near you!

Breakthrough

Marty Stuart had spent many years working as a country artist, writing and recording songs for himself and others since the early Seventies. However, it was not until 1991 that Marty Stuart scored his first big hit. That year he wrote a song titled The Whiskey Ain't Working with Travis Tritt which the two recorded as a duet that was featured on Tritt's album, It's All About to Change. The single became a big hit for the two country artists and things did indeed begin to change, as Stuart's record label finally started giving him some more support. The following year Marty Stuart released his album This One's Gonna Hurt You which featured the title track that was another duet with Travis Tritt and was a top ten country single.

The Experience

You have been waiting for months if not years for this night to come and finally as the lights lower you begin to see the beloved Marty Stuart making his way out onto the stage. The crowd erupts in applause as Vince approaches the mic. A hush falls over the crowd as she thanks them and launches into a fan favorite from his hit albums like Busy Bee Cafe, Hillbilly Rock, Tempted, This One's Gonna Hurt You, Let There Be Country, Love and Luck, or others. The crowd once again erupts and sings and dances along to hits throughout the night. Always known to have an incredible stage presence and a powerful voice, Marty Stuart really knows how to connect with his fans no matter how big or small the venue in which he is performing. He is one country performer any music lover will not want to miss when he comes to town.

Trivia

In 1997 Marty Stuart married fellow country singer Connie Smith. The married couple often perform together in what are always amazing nights at the concert hall.
