Florida native Matt Hires was born a songwriter and singer; recording music at a young age, he eventually made his recording debut at 22 - deemed "Live from the Hotel Café EP" - that helped to jumpstart his career into the mainstream. Following a short-lived group effort, Hires moved to opening act for Marc Broussard and Dave Matthews Band before releasing the full length "Take Us to the Start" in 2009.
