In 2004, the jerky, nervous energy of post-punk flooded the airwaves. There were a number of bands that managed to grab the limelight at the time, but one of the most successful—and certainly one of the most talented—was British band Maximo Park. Since becoming a smash success with their debut LP, they've earned a loyal following and gone on to record new sounds.
Maximo Park's catchy pop songs were so appealing that they were first picked up by Warp Records, a label that deals mostly with electronic artists, but decided they were too good to ignore. Their first LP, A Certain Trigger, made a splash on the charts, with their hit single "Apply Some Pressure" earning plenty of time on the airwaves.
Maximo Park tickets are now available, but considering this band's rabid fan base, you shouldn't expect them to be lingering for long. There are going to be a lot of fans trying to get into their shows, so if you want to muscle in, make sure you grab concert tickets now.
