The McAlister Field House is located in Charleston, South Carolina and was first constructed in 1939. Originally called
The Citadel Armory it was later renamed for Colonel David S. McAlister on March 16, 1973. The facility houses the offices
of the athletic director and staff for The Citadel, as well as three baseball courts that seat 6,000. After its 1989 renovation
the seating was increased from 4,500 seats to 6,000. The McAlister Field House’s nickname is “Animal House”
because of the nature of its participants during basketball games.
