Lawrence was founded back in 1854 and has since grown into a city that has a population of more than 80,000. Lawrence is probably best-known for being the home to University of Kansas, as the school draws many visitors to the area each year. The answer is Northern Illinois. Though you might assume that the biggest crowd would be Kansas State or Missouri, it was actually Northern Illinois when the Jayhawks links up with the Huskies. That day in 2009, the official attendance was 52,530, surpassing the 52,230 that showed up the previous year for a Kansas State-Kansas matchup. With more than 50,000 on a regular basis, whether it's for games in or outside of the conference, Memorial Stadium remains one of the very best places in the world to see a highly anticipated football game.
