Metalachi Tour

Going to the same old rock, pop, blues, jazz, or any other kind of basic genre of shows can get tedious and boring after a while. So when you've finally decided that you want to check out something new, something that will keep your interest for an entire show, then make sure to see Metalachi at one of their upcoming shows. If you hadn't deduced what kind of music this group plays from their name, it is simply metal mariachi music. A combination of two very dissimilar forms of music meet in beautiful harmony when the members of Metalachi are at the wheel of this musical vehicle, and they just so happen to drive it at full speed with violins wailing all the way. Comprised of five members that both know how to rock and fiesta, there's nothing stopping Metalachi from becoming the biggest thing to happen to music in a good long while.

About The Band

Metalachi is the culmination of what to a small group of people was an inevitability, and to the rest of the world sounds like pure insanity. The combination of metal music with the completely opposite mariachi style of music is the heart and soul of Metalachi: two worlds crashing into each other but somehow working out beautifully. Each member of the group has quirky fictional backstories set-up in place to explain how they came to be involved in the world's first metal mariachi band, as well as an entire backstory for the group as a whole set up that begins the day they were all born. This group claims to be five brothers from Mexico who one day stumbled into America and found a Black Sabbath album, forever altering their lives. Their music is composed entirely of covers of classic metal songs that range from Dio to Europe to Led Zeppelin, all with an amusingly solid mariachi twist. Every song that they play works out despite initial feelings that it shouldn't, but these initial doubts make their success all the more satisfying.

Breakthrough Song

With an entire backlog consisting of nothing but covers, the mission to decide which of their songs is to be considered their breakthrough song. If you wanted to take the easy way out, it would be as simple as pointing to their debut album, "Uno", and saying that is all you need. While that is partially true, Uno is an album of eight magnificent covers given the Metalachi treatment, but it goes deeper than that. If you want to listen to a single song and know exactly what you're in for when you check out Metalachi, you're best off starting with their version of the Black Sabbath song "Crazy Train". This in particular is where the genius of metal and mariachi coming together shows through in blinding fullness. The trumpets and inane yelling in the background lend themselves perfectly to Crazy Train, and if anything add a layer of awesome to an already amazing song.

Metalachi Trivia

There have been dozens, hundreds, probably even thousands of cover or tribute bands that have formed over the last few decades, but very rarely do these cover bands ever have guest appearances from one of the bands that they're covering. Metalachi, along with being one of the wildest and most intriguing bands around, has set a milestone in place when they had a member of Slayer, Dave Lombardo, actually take to the stage and play drums for one of their songs. This is incredibly impressive both because this practically means that Dave Lombardo supports the Metalachi, and also because that means that he brought his own drums since Metalachi uses none. No matter how it happened, it happened, and hopefully this is only the beginning to a long string of guest stars showing up to make Metalachi shows a little bit crazier than they already are.

Fan Experience

One of the few places that it's not physically possible to be bored at is a Metalachi show. With so much wild and awesome music being played coupled with a crowd of people that are there to have a great time, this is a winning combination that results in massive amounts of fun. After all, how could you possibly not have a good time checking out a lineup of intriguing individuals who happen to make awesome mariachi themed metal? Exactly. This is a brave and bold new direction for the musical world, and just so happens to be one that has been lovingly embraced by music lovers everywhere! These musical banditos are well known for giving their audience members and fans a great time at their shows, a trait that lives on to this day. You definitely won't want to miss out on seeing Metalachi perform live, as it will likely be a performance that you never forget!
