Michael Buble Background
singer Michael Steven Buble was born in Burnaby, British Columbia. While Buble's father was out to sea much of his childhood,
he depended on his mother and grandfather to raise him and his two younger sisters. His grandfather, Demetrio Santanga, owned
a tremendous record collection that sparked Buble's passion for soul music and classic jazz. Musical greats like Frank Sinatra,
Stevie Wonder, Tony Bennett and Ella Fitzgerald inspired Buble to follow suit.
His grandfather encouraged Buble to participate
in a local contest, which he won. At the time Buble was only 17, and he was eventually disqualified for not being 18. However,

extended an invitation to Buble to perform at their daughter's wedding. He was a hit at the wedding and captivated wedding
guests with his version of Mack The Knife.

came out in 2003.
The eponymous record was a global success. It landed at No. 1 in Australia and claimed multi-platinum
status in several other countries. It additionally slid into the Top 10 in Canada and the UK.

Buble's talents, especially his propensity for putting a pop spin on classics like Moondance and How Can You Mend A Broken
Heart? The album release was followed up with a global tour, and Buble ended 2003 on a high note with a holiday disc, Let
