The Milwaukee Bucks in 2013-14

The Bucks made some solid-looking moves in the offseason, one being the addition of shooting guard O.J. Mayo. The Bucks got player that can create offensively for himself, and though Mayo has had an up and down season he should find his groove eventually. The team also swung a big trade in the offseason, shipping point guard Brandon Jennings to the Detroit Pistons in exchange for point guard Brandon Knight. Knight is a young player with a lot of promise that has taken a big step forward this season. He look to be a keeper, a youngster that can serve as a building block for this organization. The Bucks also made one of the more intriguing draft picks in the 2013 NBA Draft, selecting Greek forward Giannis Antetokounmpo. Known as "The Greek Freak," for his physical attributes, this young player has an extremely high ceiling and is definitely a youngster to watch going forward. Milwaukee Bucks Trivia

If the Milwaukee Bucks land a high draft pick in the highly-touted 2014 NBA Draft, who are some of the players they could look at selecting?

One of the top prospects in college basketball right now is Kansas center Joel Embid. The Bucks already have Larry Sander manning the middle, but Embid may be a talent too tantalizing to pass on. The freshman has garnered comparisons to Hakeem "The Dream" Olajuwon, and could have the highest ceiling of any prospect in the draft should he declare himself eligible. Another option for the Bucks could be Embid's teammate Andre Wiggins. Coming into the college season Wiggins was dubbed as one of the best prospects to come along since LeBron James. While Wiggins has not quite lived up to the hype in his freshman season, he has proven to be an athletic freak that is capable of packing down opposing players on the defensive end. Scouts expect the offense to come around more and more, and he could be a star of the future for the Bucks. Another player that could turn into a star should the Bucks land him is Duke freshman Jabari Parker. Parker has drawn comparisons to Carmelo Anthony, as he's a scoring machine. Whoever the Bucks end up with will give this team yet another young piece to build around.

Milwaukee Bucks Postseason History

The Milwaukee Bucks have had some fantastic seasons over the course of this organization's history, and their success over the years has earned them a fan base that eagerly awaits their next playoff appearance. The Bucks have won their division crown 13 times, and have made many playoff appearances. The Bucks first made the postseason back in the 1969-70 season with center Lew Alcindor (who would later change his name to Kareem Abdul-Jabbar) leading the charge. That was Alcindor's rookie season, and he would capture the Rookie of the Year Award and lead the Bucks to their first-ever postseason series win the same year. The following season Alcindor would lead the team to the promised land, as the Bucks won the NBA Championship, losing just two games in three total playoff rounds and sweeping the NBA Finals 4-0. Alcindor was not only named the Most Valuable Player of the Finals, but also the regular season that year. Alcindor, then as Abdul-Jabbar, would lead the Bucks back to the NBA Finals a few years later, but that 1971 title stands as the only on Bucks history. The Bucks are working hard to earn their second NBA Championship in franchise history sometime soon.
