Minnesota Timberwolves Road Schedule in 2013-14

The Minnesota Timberwolves are ready to hit the road and hunt for big victories against some of the top teams in the National Basketball Association this season. The Wolves have the most talented and versatile roster that they have in a long time, and many Minnesota hoops fans are exciting to see what this team can do on the court. Playing in the Northwest Division never makes for an easy schedule, and that is certainly true in 2013-14. The Wolves have a ton of tough games on the road this season, and they're going to have to come together as a unit to take down some of the best teams in the league away from the friendly confines of the Target Center.

The Wolves will definitely have to bring their best when they head out to Oklahoma City to face the Thunder. OKC is a division rival of Minnesota, so the Wolves will have several changes to take a victory away from the Thunder on OKC's home turf. The Wolves will also travel to cities like San Antonio and Houston, where top teams await them. It's not going to be an easy season for the Wolves, but this team has the chance to make some serious waves. Check them out on the road this season and enjoy seeing the Wolves show what they've got in 2013-14.

Minnesota Timberwolves Team Info

The Minnesota Timberwolves are a part of the Northwest Division, a division that also features the Portland Trail Blazers, Utah Jazz, Denver Nuggets and Oklahoma City Thunder. The Wolves are set on making the postseason this year, and they have the best collection of talent that the organization has had since Kevin Garnett left the team. It's been a long rebuilding process since the franchise shipped The Big Ticket to Boston, but it finally looks like this team is ready to contend for a spot in the postseason. The team has one of the best big men in the entire National Basketball Association in Kevin Love. Love has been getting better and better since entering the pros, but lost much of last season to an injury. Back and fully healthy, Love looks ready to lead this bunch to their best season in years. The Wolves made a big move in the offseason when they signed shooting guard Kevin Martin to help shore up a position that has been a weakness for Minnesota for several seasons. Martin is capable of creating his own shot and getting to the free throw line, something that will help take some of the offensive pressure off Love. Point guard Ricky Rubio is ready to orchestrate the offense, and he's one of the best passers in the NBA. The Wolves will need their role players to consistently contribute, but it looks as though this team may have found the right formula to compete in the tough Western Conference. They've got a plethora of challenging road games on their schedule this season, and you can be there to see them hit the court against some top teams.

Minnesota Timberwolves Experience

If you've been to a Minnesota Timberwolves home game, then you know how incredible it can be to see your favorite team live and in person. However, not many Wolves fans have been out to another arena outside of the Target Center to see this team play. It's a whole new experience to witness the Wolves take the floor in enemy territory as they have to battle the opposing team on the court and the crowd in the stands. That's why the team needs some of their loyal fans to hit the stands at arenas all over the country, to help support Minnesota and cheer them on to big victories on the road.

Minnesota Timberwolves Trivia

Where did Minnesota Timberwolves forward Kevin Love play his collegiate basketball?

The answer is UCLA, where Love played for one season before deciding to take his game to the pro level. The Memphis Grizzlies drafted Love with the fifth overall pick in the NBA Draft that season and promptly traded him to Minnesota in a deal that included OJ Mayo. Love quickly showed himself to be a big time player and has developed into one of the most dangerous offensive weapons in the National Basketball Association.

Minnesota Timberwolves History

The Minnesota Timberwolves first joined the National Basketball Association in 1989 as an expansion franchise. The team experienced their most successful seasons when forward Kevin Garnett was in his prime, and the team even made it to the Western Conference Finals one season when Garnett teamed up with Sam Cassel and Latrell Sprewell, but the club has been unable to capture a conference title as of yet. Fans in Minnesota are waiting with anticipation for the team's first trip to the NBA Finals, and the organization is looking to end their wait as soon as possible.
