Minnesota Twins Schedule

Minnesota Twins Schedule - Twins Schedule

2014 Minnesota Twins Schedule

The Twins are reloaded with another talented team that has no intention of going quietly in the A.L. Central, though moving up the standings isn't an easy task thanks to other strong franchises like the Tigers, the Royals, the White Sox and the Indians. This is a classic division that has some of the best rivalries in all of Major League Baseball, and each and every season the Twins have plenty of opportunities to prove that they have what it takes to make it back into the playoff hunt. Home or on the road, this is a team you definitely don't want to miss out on if you love baseball played at the highest possible level.

Wherever the Minnesota Twins travel, they are met with tons of dedicated fans that go crazy over every home run and dramatic stolen base. The Twins bring the action to their home stadium at Target Field all throughout baseball season, and fans will be piling in once again this season as the Twins look to make a major move up the divisional standings. As soon as you're there during the crucial moments of a big game, you'll understand loud and clear why there is absolutely no substitution for seeing baseball first-hand.

The Experience

There's something special about being in the stands with thousands of fans when your favorite team takes to the field, but don't take our word for it. Put down the remote, get off the couch and get ready to see a game the way it was meant to be seen, as this is a spectator sport that gets taken to a completely different level when you get a chance to see it for yourself. Major League Baseball routinely brings together great athletes that are sure to have you jumping out of your seat on a regular basis, and the Twins once again have an explosive roster that has fans brewing with optimism around the Twin Cities.

The Team

Since 1961, MLB tickets to see the Minnesota Twins have been a hot item in Minneapolis, and you'll understand why if you get out to the stands for a big game. The Twins have gone through many periods of success over the years, but found some of their best years were in the late '80s and early '90s, with Kirby Puckett leading the way. These days, it's never easy in the A.L. Central with teams like the Tigers, White Sox, Indians and Royals all vying for the divisional title, but the Twins have the talent to give any team in the league a run for the money this season. With Joe Mauer and Josh Willingham leading the way on offense and Ricky Nolasco hoping to slice his way through lineups, the Twins have a well-balanced roster that guarantees an exciting brand once again.

Minnesota Twins Trivia

Did you know that Rod Carew holds the all-time record for highest batting average in a season?

With a ridiculous.388 average in 1977, Carew brought his game to the next level and put together one of the finest seasons at the plate in the modern era. Carew would go on to the All-Star Game each of his 12 seasons in Minnesota playing for the Twins, though he would go on to tack on an additional six All-Star appearances playing for the Angels. All in all, Carew would go to the All-Star Game 18 consecutive years, winning the batting title seven different times and cementing himself as one of the greatest hitters of all-time.

Minnesota Twins History

Fans have been heading out to see this team since the franchise first came into existence in 1901. Back in those days they were known as the Washington Senators. The Twins went on to win World Series trophies in 1924 (as the Senators), 1987 and 1991, giving them a rich history of success. Including players like Rod Carew, Kent Hrbek, Frank Viola, Kirby Puckett and many more, this is a team that never seems to be lacking in the superstar department, and you never know who is going to take the next step to becoming a Twin Cities legend.

The Fans

With the Twins looking to pull their talent together and give their fans another memorable season, each game is an opportunity for Twins fans, and you can count on there being plenty of passionate fans whether the Twins are digging in at home or on the road. There may be lots of different ways to follow the action, but there is still only one way to truly appreciate how good these guys are, and it definitely isn't sitting at home when you could actually be right in the thick of the action. When you see your favorite player swats a ball into the stands to bring the crowd to a roaring applause, you'll definitely be glad that you're not sitting anywhere else – not that you'll be thinking about your seat.
