Mississippi State Bulldogs Schedule in 2013-14

The Mississippi State Bulldogs are ready to protect their home court this season as some of the top teams in the country come into their house and try to leave with a victory. The Bulldogs play in the Southeast Conference, one of the top leagues in college hoops each and every season. As the Bulldogs look to make it back to the NCAA Tournament in another very tough season in the SEC standings, games are sure to be loaded with rim-rocking excitement that you just can't conjure up anywhere else. College basketball is one of those sports that gets taken to a completely different level when you get to see it in person, and that definitely holds true whenever the Bulldogs take to the court for an exciting matchup. Against teams like Alabama, Kentucky, LSU and many more in the SEC, the Bulldogs get to go up against some of the powerhouses, though the Bulldogs also have plenty of talented players that know how to make it hard on the other elite teams looking to do the same.

The Bulldogs have a tough matchup coming their way on February 26th when the Tennessee Volunteers hit the court at Humphrey Coliseum. The Vols will be looking to get out to an early lead in this one, hoping to take home a big victory down the stretch of the 2013-14 season. The Bulldogs are ready prepared to let that happen, though, and will be looking to lock things down on the defensive end. This should be a great conference matchup that fans of State will want to catch in person.

State will close out their home schedule this season with a big matchup against the South Carolina Gamecocks. The Gamecocks have a talented group of players, so a win is not going to come easily for the Bulldogs. However, it being the final home game of the season should result in a great home crowd that can cheer State on to victory.

Mississippi State Bulldogs History

The Mississippi State Bulldogs have been playing basketball in the SEC since 1932, and since then the team has put together some great years. NCAA basketball tickets to their home games, especially whenever they play the University of Mississippi, are always at the top of the sports tickets sales list, year after year. With one of the older programs in the SEC, the Bulldogs have been around for a very long time, helping solidify them as staples of the local sports scene around Starkville, Mississippi. The Bulldogs had their best season in 1996, when they made one heck of a run in the NCAA Tournament to get all the way to the Final Four. Whether you like high-flying basketball, smoother jumpers or intense defensive matchups, the Bulldogs have you covered year after year, which is why it's never a bad idea to come out and see for yourself what all the excitement is about.
