Molly Hatchet formed in Jacksonville, Florida in 1975, and has topped the charts dozens of times over their decades-long
history. They released their first self-titled album in 1978, followed by their sophomore effort, Flirtin' with Disaster,
which was their biggest success. In the 80s, the band suffered the pains of shifting band members. Vocalist Danny Joe Brown
left to form his own band, only to rejoin the band in 1982. Bassist Banner Thomas left and was replaced by Riff West. With
an unstable foundation, the group released their next album No Guts&No Glory, and lost another member-keyboardist Steve Holland.
With the addition of John Galvin the group was able to finish their next album The Deed is Done, but lost guitarist Dave Hlubek
who was replaced by Bobby Ingram. The band then released a double live album, Double Trouble Live, and began touring again.
The band hit its stride in the 90s, being compared to the famed band Lynyrd Skynyrd because of their pairing of guitar work
and pounding boogie beats. Instead of focusing solely on creating records, the band began focusing on jamming and improvising
their sound. By the end of the decade, they were still going strong, and focusing on philanthropy. As the world came into
the new millennium, the band released their album Kingdom of XII in Europe. They went on tour once more to promote their new
music. The band continued to do well throughout the early 2000s, even reinstituting Dave Hlubek as a guitarist for the group.
With so much history and an immense talent for southern rock, this band has gained a massive fan base in countries all over
the world including: Germany, Sapin, France, the UK and Australia. Buy your Molly
