Casting for any show is no easy feat, but things get even more difficult when casting for a ballet. While at least
when casting for a stage show or on the screen, performers are judged based solely on their ability to act. When it comes
to performing in a popular ballet like the Moscow Ballet, performers are put through an extremely rigorous vetting process
that ensures that their dancing skills are up to snuff. Thankfully, the casting director for the Moscow Ballet was able to
bring such talented dancers and performers to the stage as Ekaterina Bortiakova, Akzhol Mussakhanov, Alisa Voronova, Anatolie
Ustamov, Sergey Chumakov, Elena Petrachenko, Svetlana Todinova, and more! All of these performers have worked tirelessly and
rehearsed their roles in the Great Russian Nutcracker for countless hours to ensure that the production that reaches the stage
receives the same critical acclaim that the show received when it first debuted. So whether you've seen the Moscow Ballet's
Great Russian Nutcracker performed before on the stage, or simply if you wanted to see this show for the first time, you can't

Moscow Ballets Great Russian Nutcracker Minneapolis Author
Fans of the Moscow Ballet
are eager again to see yet another performance of their popular production of the Great Russian Nutcracker! Though their particular
iteration of the popular show The Nutcracker differs slightly from the original, giving it a truly Russian spin, the very
first version of this show was originally created by Marius Petipa, Lev Ivanov, and Pyotr Tchaikovsky (with Tchaikovsky scoring
the show and Petipa and Ivanov working the choreography). Originally written by E.T.A. Hoffman, the book called The Nutcracker
and the Mouse King was thoroughly adapted for the stage for this original production based on a hunch that it would be popular
with audiences. Thankfully, they were right, and The Nutcracker is one of the most popular holiday shows to come to the stage!
Though originally written in 1816, it wouldn't be adapted for performances by ballets and other stage shows until the 1890′s,
utilizing the version of the story written by Alexandre Dumas rather than the E.T.A Hoffman work. So don't miss out on your
chance to see Moscow Ballet's Great Russian Nutcracker when it opens for the stage near you next! Get your tickets today!
