No, they're not a family act. Marcus Mumford, Ben Lovett, Winston Marshall and Ted Dwayne are actually not related. They picked the name Mumford and Sons because Marcus was the most prominent of the group and they liked the old-timey ring of the phrase. It seems to have caught on with quite a few other music fans, as well. The band is one of the most popular indie acts to have crossed over the pond in quite a while.
Sigh No More, Mumford and Sons' debut release, has turned them into household names. Tracks like "Little Lion Man" and "The Cave" have become fan favorites.
