About the Music of Led Zeppelin

Kicking off in 1995, the Music of Led Zeppelin project would be the kickoff event for Windborne Music Group's "Music of" events. A collaboration of multiple musicians all with a passion for Led Zeppelin, the formation of the group would start with Randy Jackson who would emulate the iconic vocals of Zeppelin's legendary singer Robert Plant. The project would go on to fine tune the Zeppelin catalog into orchestral versions, creating a Led Zeppelin experience that is both intrinsically true to its Zeppelin origins but fundamentally pioneering in its scope.

The collaboration also includes Brent Havens, who functions as conductor for the performance. Brent's extensive resume includes work for multiple major networks from ABC to CBS, work with musical icons the Doobie Brothers, and extensive orchestral work spanning multiple continents. He's also scored multiple films including the recently release action film Quo Vadis. Alongside Brent is bassist Dan Clemens, an alumnus of the Berklee College of Music and a mainstay in the mainstream American music scene. He's shared arenas with some of the greatest of the greats, including Fleetwood Mac and members of The Doors.

Manning the drum kit is Powell Randolph, a career musician and fellow graduate of the Berklee College of Music. Filling the almost unfillable shoes of Jimmy Page is George Cintron, a long time New York rocker with a resume spanning decades, having proven his musical chops while playing such venues as Madison Square Garden. Filling out the ranks of the performers is electric violinist Allegra, bringing a unique and innovative sound that completes the Led Zeppelin experience.

Previous Hits

The Music of Led Zeppelin began first performances in smaller music halls in Virginia. After the band cut its teeth on the local music crowd it headed straight to the big leagues filling the Chastain Amphitheater in Atlanta in 1996, kicking off the projects multiple decades of on and off tour across the US and even north of the border into Canada.

The band's carefully constructed arrangements of Zeppelin songs include the best of the best, from the band's earliest LPs to the greatest of their greatest hits. Be prepared to hear all of your favorite tracks in symphonic glory, including the Led Zeppelin epics "Kashmir" and "Black Dog".

Trivia

Lead vocalist Randy Jackson splits his time between the Music of Led Zeppelin as well as his own rock band Zebra. Zebra has been recording for over two decades and draws heavily from influences such as Led Zeppelin and AC/DC.

Conductor Brent Havens is the primary conductor of all of Windborne's major musical productions. Aside from arranging the Music of Led Zeppelin, he's also arranged similar concerts in honor of the Doors, Pink Floyd, the Eagles, Queen, Michael Jackson, and the Who. The Music of The Who has been making the rounds and is fast becoming a fan favorite show.
