Shara Worden started performing and recording while attending the University of North Texas in Denton. She completed her
degree in classical vocal performance and then relocated to Moscow where she documented many newly penned songs and released
them on CD-Rs with handcrafted artwork as an EP titled Session I. In 1999, she moved to Brooklyn, New York, and began working
on AwRy. She rallied musicians to play everything from wind chimes to wine glasses. After working under the tutelage of Padma
Newsome, an Australian composer, Worden eventually added a string quartet. She has continued to polish her project to perfection,

The band has launched three studio albums, which include, Bring Me the Workhorse in 2006, which is a more rock-based collection
that was released on Sfjan Stevens' Asthmatic Kitty in the summer of 2006; A Thousand Shark's Teeth in 2008, a collection
of songs produced with a string quartet; and All Things Will Unwind in 2011. My Brightest Diamond's remix albums includ Shark

Inspired by Nina Nastasia and Antony and the Johnsons, Worden has also recorded and performed with Sufjan Stevens on albums,
The Age of Adz and Illinoise. She has also recorded with The Decemberists on their album, Hazards of Love, serving as "The
