The Mynabirds is the brainchild of Laura Burhenn, whose musical expertise has led to a brilliant indie folk career with the eclectic band. Laura Burhenn started up the indie music group the Mynabirds in 2009 after splitting from the experimental duo Georgie James, an outfit she was part of with John Davis. Burhenn assembled the band behind the Mynabirds in the late 2000s and has been releasing hit music with the outfit ever since, including the debut album What We Lose in the Fire We Gain in the Flood.
