“Nobody Ever Really Dies” is a pretty philosophical moniker for a band to take. But N.E.R.D. is a pretty unique
group. Known better for members Chad Hugo and Pharrell Williams—aka the Neptunes—the group is rounded out by
Shay, and produces some of the most experimental and cutting edge hip-hop in the music scene today. Concert
tickets are now available.
Take a gander at the cover of their self-titled debut, which features a band member wearing sandals over socks and with
a video game controller in his hands, and you can see why the band is called N.E.R.D. This is not a band that takes itself
too seriously. Their songs are funny, quirky, and always creative—and that’s why critics and fans alike adore
them.
In 2008, N.E.R.D. released Seeing Sounds to eager anticipation. The single “Everyone Nose (All the Girls Standing
in Line for the Bathroom)” took aim at shallow club culture, and the record as a whole said more than most chart-topping
rappers say in their entire discography. Want to see a group that’s shaking up hip-hop? Get N.E.R.D.
tickets today.
