NCAA Tournament Tickets - Buffalo

NCAA Tournament Buffalo tickets

NCAA Tournament Buffalo Schedule

At the start of the college basketball season every team begins looking to pile up enough wins to impress the selection committee and be chosen to participate in the sport's premiere event, the NCAA Tournament. By the time March comes around and teams have been selected they are looking to advance as far as possible. The 64 teams that either have made it past the play-in round or have been chosen by the committee are the best in the land and all believe they have a legitimate shot to make a historic run to the Final Four. The journey begins the first weekend of the Tournament and one of the spots chosen to host the first round games is Buffalo, New York.

On Thursday March 20th and Saturday March 22nd the first two rounds of the tournament will be played at First Niagara Center in Buffalo, New York, which is the home of the Buffalo Sabres of the NHL. Although it is generally known as a hockey arena, First Niagara Center is also an ideal place to watch college basketball. Four thrilling games on Thursday and two on Saturday provide for an unbeatable college hoops experience. In many ways, the first weekend of the tournament is the most exciting, providing historic upsets. Could this be the year that a number 16 seed finally upsets a number one? Might it happen at FNC? If it does you will surely want to be there in person so you can one day tell your grandchildren.

About the Teams

Each season teams battle ferociously for a shot to make the NCAA Tournament. Even the powerhouse programs who are regularly a part of the event celebrate when they see their name on the bracket. This is why so many athletes compete for a spot on a Division I basketball team and for many this will be the high point of their basketball career. The teams that have made it this far are not looking to be one-and-done or not to make it past the first weekend of the Tournament. As long as each team is alive in the tournament they believe that they have what it takes to go oen step further, hopefully reaching the FInal Four and coming home with a National Championship. This is the stuff of which dreams are made and the drama, action, and emotion to be found on the court during the Tournament's first weekend is unparalleled in the sports world. Even the most casual basketball fans get swept up in the excitement of the NCAA Tournament, as is evidenced with the drop off of workplace productivity and the number of sick days taken when the Tournament gets underway.

The Experience

College basketball is an sports event unlike any other. Featuring many of the greatest student athletes in the world along with some of the most passionate fans in all of sports, these games have an atmosphere that cannot be found anywhere else. When you step into First Niagara Center for the first two rounds this will all be clear. As the teams get set for the opening tip off, fans stand up and loudly cheer for their favorite team. The game continues full of back-and-forth action, big-time shots and clutch defensive stops. Before you know it the clock is winding down in the second half and the two sides are wrapped up in yet another historic NCAA Tournament game. Your palms get sweaty with each trip down the floor and each time a player from your favorite team lets loose a shot you hold your breath until the ball tickles the twine. This continues until the final buzzer when the winning side erupts after another big win and their fans flow out of the arena in jubilation.

NCAA Basketball

March Madness is an event that even casual sports fans take the time to follow, and millions end up filling out brackets at work or with friends. The ubiquity of the brackets in March turns millions of sports fans into sudden college basketball experts. However, the only way to know what you are talking about come tournament time is to follow the season from the start, to see how certain teams match up and what could be the fatal flaw of a serious contender who is doomed to fall to a Cinderella in March. The one-and-done nature of the NCAA Tournament gives every school that makes the field a chance and this is precisely what makes NCAA basketball such a thrill.
