Prior to the 2011 season, the Nebraska Cornhuskers were part of the Big 12 Conference. They finished first in the North
Division of the Big 12 with a record of 10-4 in 2010, but they switched to the Big Ten conference in 2010, pitting them against
storied teams such as the Michigan Wolverines, the Michigan State Spartans and the Iowa Hawkeyes.
