With a program that dates all the way back to the late 19th century, the Wolf Pack have one of the oldest and most respected football teams around, and they've become nothing short of icons of the sports community in the process thanks to season after season of amazing football action. The Wolf Pack first took to the field back in 1896, and have been competing at the highest level ever since. The team began as an independent before joining the Far West Conference in 1925. The Wolf Pack moved to the Big Sky in 1979 after years of alternating between the Far West and being independent, and remained as a member of the Big Sky until 1991, when they entered the Big West Conference. The team was a member of the WAC from 2000 to 2001 before entering the Mountain West Conference, where they reside today. The Mountain West is never shy of amazing matchups, with the Wolf Pack tending to be right in the thick of the action as they look to wreak havoc on their conference rivals. Nevada has captured more than 10 conference titles over the course of the program's history and been to more than 10 bowl games as well. The Wolf Pack would love to add to those two totals this season, and fans will pack into Mackay Stadium to see all of the action unfold live and in person, which is the best way to witness a game.
