In the late '70s and early '80s, The Cars were at the height of their game. They had a string of hits, including "Let
the Good Times Roll," "My Best Friend's Girl," "Just What I Needed" and "You're All I've Got Tonight"and that was just off
their 1978 self-titled debut. Now the band is back, minus frontman Ric Ocasek, with a brand-new set of songs.
It's hard to imagine the Cars without Ric Ocasek, but here they areand they sound great. The band came back together when
guitarist Elliot Easton and keyboardist Greg Hawkes decided to try and revive it. Ocasek turned them down, but pop songwriter
Todd Rundgren was willing to step in and fill vocal duties. With the addition of a couple other members, the band was back
together.
The New Cars tickets are disappearing down the highway! This unforgettable New Wave
group delivered one of the principal sounds of the '80s, and their music has remained fun and enjoyable throughout all these
years. Once they head back out on tour, you can bet that they will be selling concert tickets
left and right for their shows.
