2014 New England Patriots Road Schedule

The reigning AFC East champs are looking to give their fans more of the same this season, as the high-flying offense is hoping to continue shredding defenses all year long as the Pats build towards another championship. With Tom Brady under center and a schedule loaded with exciting challenges for the Pats, there are plenty of reasons to head out and see the Patriots the way they are supposed to be seen. Even though Gillette Stadium is obviously the place to be when the Pats are at home, you don't want to make the mistake of missing the road games either, as seeing the Pats away from home can give you a completely different perspective on your favorite team.

Year in and year out, one of the matchups on the schedule that always has the attention of fans is the trip to Miami, which will go down to start the season on Sept. 7 this time around. The Pats vs. Dolphins matchup has become quite the rivalry and many anticipate these two teams to be right in the middle of the hunt for the playoffs this season. Heading to Western New York to take on the Buffalo Bills on Oct. 12 this season is another game sure to be met with plenty of fanfare, as will a Dec. 21 road game that will take the Patriots to New Jersey to take on the Jets.

More than just the divisional games, there are plenty of other top-tier games that fans will be heading out to be a part of. A Sept. 29 visit to Arrowhead in Kansas City definitely will be a game that fans will have circled on their calendars, though one of the biggest will definitely be in Indianapolis Nov. 16, as the Patriots will be battling it out with young star quarterback Andrew Luck. With so many different opportunities to see the Pats take on other talented teams, the 2014 season is loaded with possibilities for any fan looking to get out of town and make New England Patriots football the centerpiece of a road trip.

New England Patriots Team Info

The New England Patriots are consistently one of the best teams in the AFC, and in the National Football League in general. With one of the best quarterbacks to ever play the game in Tom Brady, New England has a chance to beat any team in the league on any given day. Coach Bill Belichick also has the reputation of being one of the very best coaches in all of football, making a potent combination of quarterback and coach that has become the prototype of how to win the NFL. With a talented defense that is known to make big plays, this is a Patriots squad that is feared every time they take to the gridiron, whether the opposition wants to admit it or not.

NFL Road Experience

If you've never been to a National Football League game, then you need to make sure to head to one of the many stadiums across the country this season. The Patriots will hit the road this season to take on some tough teams, and seeing them on the road is always fun for a Pats fan. You'll love the satisfaction you get from hearing a hush come over the crown when the Patriots light up the scoreboard, as you'll be watching your favorite team from a different angle that you just can't conjure up from home. When you're there in the middle of a nail-biter that could go either way, you'll definitely be glad that you're not still sitting in your living room wondering what the atmosphere of the big game is like.

New England Patriots History

The New England Patriots were an original member of the American Football League and joined the National Football league in 1970, when the two leagues merged in the most famous union in American sports history. The team established a dynasty in the early 2000s when the team discovered Tom Brady was the answer at quarterback, winning the Super Bowl in 2001, 2003 and 2004. Brady has taken the team to two additional Super Bowls, though the Patriots would narrowly miss out on victories in two of the closest Super Bowls in history. Overall, Pats fans have seen some unbelievable players come through their roster over the years, building them into one of the most respected and copied franchises in the league and consistently fielding a team good enough to challenge for a title.

New England Patriots Trivia

Where did New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady attend college?

The answer is the University of Michigan, where he actually struggled to hold on to the starting quarterback job. Due to his underwhelming college career, Brady was selected in the sixth round of the NFL Draft, which turned out to be a franchise-altering decision. When starter Drew Bledsoe went down with an injury early in the 2001 season, Brady was thrust into action and led the team to a Super Bowl victory, ushering in a dynasty in the process.
