The New Hampshire Motor Speedway opened back in 1990 after nine months of
construction to transform the road circuit surface into a multi-purpose circuit, as well as the surrounding structure. The
track became a part of the Winston Series in 1993 and saw Rusty Wallace take home the title at the inaugural Slick 50 300
that same year. 1996 marked a victory at the track by Ernie Irvan, who had been involved in a near-fatal crash just a couple
