The Canton Charge are a team in the National
Basketball Association's Developmental League. The Charge are affiliated with the NBA's Cleveland Cavaliers, and are a team
that is always looking to elevate their level of play. The Charge were founded in 2001 as the Huntsville Flight before moving
to Albuquerque, NM in 2005. As the Albuquerque Thunderbirds, the team was able to win the D-League Championship during their
first season in their new city (2005-06). In 2011 the team moved to Canton, OH, where they current compete and host the top
teams that the D-League has to offer. The team won their conference title in 2012-13 and continues to add to its history with
every passing season.
Everyone knows that the National Basketball Association offers the
most entertaining basketball in the world, but not everyone knows that the NBA's Developmental League has its fair share of
exciting basketball as well. The D-League has grown considerably over the years and now serves as a kind of minor league system
for the NBA. These players were some of the best collegiate players in the nation not too long ago, and many of them have
a future in the NBA. The action on the court is always competitive, and the players are constantly giving maximum effort,
because they know that every good game gets them one stop closer to hitting the court for an NBA team.
Who is currently the head coach of the Canton Charge?
The answer is Steve Hetzel, and the team
is hoping that he can lead these players to a D-League championship.
