The Saints in the Playoffs

The New Orleans Saints are back in business in 2013 with head coach Sean Payton's return to the sideline. The Saints had a bit of a down season in 2012 with Payton away from the team, but all is right in New Orleans with their leader back in the fold. Quarterback Drew Brees is having another fantastic season under center, shredding opposing defenses on a regular basis. Brees has been one of the best quarterbacks in the National Football League throughout his tenure with the Saints, and he's been the driving force behind the success of this offense. Brees has one of the most dangerous weapons on the NFL at his disposal in tight end Jimmy Graham. A former basketball player, Graham is an athletic freak that combines power, speed and leaping ability to torch defenses on a weekly basis. Nobody can seem to stop Graham this season, and Brees looks for him often as a result. The New Orleans running game has been spotty this season, but that's been the case in years past and it doesn't seem to matter much in this pass-happy offensive scheme that relies on Brees' great completion percentage.

The Saints have had some amazing offenses in years past that have been thwarted by bad defenses, but that is certainly not the case this season. Led by new defensive coordinator Rob Ryan, the New Orleans defensive unit has been much-improved. This has a lot of pundits expecting big things from the Saints, the first of which is an NFC South division crown. If the Saints can win the division, they could make a lot of noise in the playoffs. This team is eyeing a return to the Super Bowl, and they look to have the makeup to put together a deep postseason run.

The Team

The New Orleans Saints have regained their title as one of the best teams in the NFC this season. Sean Payton's presence on the sidelines seems to make a huge difference for the Saints, and Drew Brees is again looking like one of the best quarterbacks in the National Football League. With Brees and Jimmy Graham picking apart defenses on a weekly basis, this team certainly has the look of a playoff contender. The Saints have looked like one of the best teams in their conference thanks to an improved defensive unit as well. That's something that has hurt the Saints in seasons past, but this defensive unit has been holding its own all season, giving New Orleans football fans reason to be excited. The Saints made it to the Super Bowl several years ago with Peyton and Brees at the helm, and this looks like a season in which a return trip to the big game could be in order.

The Experience

The National Football League is loved to so many people in the United States of America. There are fans all across the country, and they undoubtedly love their football, and the NFL gives them a weekly dose of their favorite players. Fans pack into stadiums all over the nation to see their teams hit the field and battle it out with some tough opponents. Being there in person is markedly different than watching the game from home, and this is the case even more so when the postseason rolls around. The action is even more intense in the playoffs, if you can believe it. If you've never seen a playoff game from your very own seat in the stands, then make sure to do so in the near future. The Saints are looking good this season and hoping to host a playoff game. If they're able to earn a home game, make sure you're there in a sea of loyal Saints fans come kickoff.
