New Orleans Saints Schedule - Saints Schedule

New Orleans Saints Schedule

The New Orleans Saints are ready to march all over the best teams in the National Football League this season, as this squad boasts one of the better offenses in the league. With an aerial attack that is rivaled by few teams in the NFC, the Saints could have what it takes to really make their mark on the conference in 2013. The Saints call the NFC South home, where their division rivals include the Tampa Bay Bucs, Carolina Panthers and Atlanta Falcons. Make sure to get to a Saints game this season to see if they have enough firepower to finish atop the division standings.

Fans will be heading to theMercedes Benz Superdomewith bells on this season when the Saints face NFC South rivals on the turf, and you'll get a chance to see what all the buzz is about by seeing the game the way it was meant to be seen, from the stands. Sure, home games are great, but seeing the Saints on the road can be just as exhilarating.

Games against divisional rivals always mean a lot, so the Saints will be looking to take down their AFC South foes this season. The Saints will play the Carolina Panthers twice this season in what could be their most important matchups of 2014. The Panthers were able to win the division title last season, so the path to the AFC South crown goes through Carolina this season. New Orleans has enough firepower to find the holes in a great Carolina defense, but it's not going to be easy. Be there in the stands to cheer on New Orleans.

New Orleans Saints Team Info

The New Orleans Saints are coming off a solid 2013 season in which they were able to reach the postseason. They spent much of the regular season in a close battle with the Carolina Panthers for the top spot in the AFC South, but the Panthers narrowly edged out New Orleans in that race. The Saints are looking to turn the tide in 2014 in the hope of taking the top spot in the divisional standings. New Orleans has one of the top quarterbacks in the game in Drew Brees, who is capable of shredding defenses on a weekly basis. He has one of the top targets in the game as well in tight end Jimmy Graham, who is a matchup nightmare for any defense. The Saints could use a little more production in the running game and an improvement on the defensive side of the ball, and they could be one of the best teams in the NFC in 2014.

New Orleans Saints Trivia

How did the New Orleans Saints acquire quarterback Drew Brees?

The answer is via free agency. At the time Brees was coming off a major arm injury, and nobody knew whether he would become the player that he was in San Diego. However, Brees would not only rebound from his injury but take his game to a whole new level as a member of the New Orleans Saints. Brees led the Saints to their first Super Bowl victory, and will forever go down as an idol in Saints lore.

New Orleans Saints History

The New Orleans Saints were founded back in 1967 and have been a mainstay in The Big Easy ever since. The team has some tough seasons early on in their history, but the fans never wavered in their support for the Saints, showing their loyalty through some difficult times. The team won its first Super Bowl during the 2009 NFL season, defeating the Indianapolis Colts in the big game thanks to a fantastic season by quarterback Drew Bees. This organization has reached the postseason 10 times over the years, and won their division title on five occasions. Saints fans are hoping to see the team hoist the Vince Lombardi Trophy again sometime soon.
