New Orleans Saints Schedule

New Orleans Saints Schedule - Saints Schedule

New Orleans Saints Schedule in 2014

The New Orleans Saints are ready to mow down the competition this season as they take on some of the toughest teams in the National Football League. The Saints have a big game right away when they head to Atlanta to take on the Falcons on September 7th. The Falcons had a down year in 2013, but that was mostly due to some costly injuries. With wide receivers Julio Jones and Roddy White back to full health, the Atlanta passing game will looking to again take flight, and it's going to be a tough task for the New Orleans secondary to keep them in check. The Saints can outscore anybody, though, especially when Drew Brees is on his game, which is often.

The Saints will travel to face the Dallas Cowboys on September 28th for what should be a fantastic game. The Cowboys have an electric offensive unit that features a rising star in wide receiver Dez Bryant. Bryant is a nightmare cover thanks to his combination of size and speed, so it's going to take a real team effort on the defensive side of the ball to contain him. A win against this talented Dallas team would be a big one for the Saints.

New Orleans will host the Green Bay Packers on October 26th for what should be a fantastic display of how to excel at the quarterback position. With Brees matching up against Green Bay's Aaron Rodgers, this game could turn into a shootout pretty quickly. Rodgers is capable of making plays with both his arm and his legs, so the Saints will have to focus a lot of their attention on him. New Orleans can't ignore running back Eddy Lacy, though. This would be a huge victory for the Saints that could give them the kind of momentum that can take them right to the top of the standings.

New Orleans Saints Team Info

The New Orleans Saints are coming off a solid 2013 season in which they were able to reach the postseason. They spent much of the regular season in a close battle with the Carolina Panthers for the top spot in the AFC South, but the Panthers narrowly edged out New Orleans in that race. The Saints are looking to turn the tide in 2014 in the hope of taking the top spot in the divisional standings. New Orleans has one of the top quarterbacks in the game in Drew Brees, who is capable of shredding defenses on a weekly basis. He has one of the top targets in the game as well in tight end Jimmy Graham, who is a matchup nightmare for any defense. The Saints could use a little more production in the running game and an improvement on the defensive side of the ball, and they could be one of the best teams in the NFC in 2014.

Fan Experience

The National Football League is arguably the top sports league in the entire world, as fans love to be a part of the high-flying action that is the NFL. The league has entered an era of unprecedented offensive production, and high scores mean happy fans in the stands. Get out to a game featuring two of the NFL's best teams this season and you're sure to be wowed by the eye-popping plays that you'll be witness to. The New Orleans Saints are consistently tough to beat on the football field, and they are back again this year looking to dominate their division, though that's never an easy task. Saints - Falcons tickets are always hot commodities among NFC South fans, and you'll understand why if you get out to see the big game the way it was meant to be seen. There are plenty of other big matchups each year that you know you'll want to be a part of as well.

New Orleans Saints Trivia

Where did New Orleans Saints star tight end Jimmy Graham attend college?

The answer is the University of Miami, where he played basketball mainly. Graham played just one season of football at The U, but it was enough to convince the Saints to draft him in the third round of the 2010 NFL Draft.

New Orleans Saints History

The New Orleans Saints were founded back in 1967 and have been a mainstay in The Big Easy ever since. The team has some tough seasons early on in their history, but the fans never wavered in their support for the Saints, showing their loyalty through some difficult times. The team won its first Super Bowl during the 2009 NFL season, defeating the Indianapolis Colts in the big game thanks to a fantastic season by quarterback Drew Bees. This organization has reached the postseason 10 times over the years, and won their division title on five occasions. Saints fans are hoping to see the team hoist the Vince Lombardi Trophy again sometime soon.
