If you consider yourself a real Mets fan, there is only one place to be this season, and it definitely isn't sitting at home squinting at the big game you're watching on that tiny little flatscreen. Ditch the couch and get out for an exciting MLB match-up filled players who can do it all, and you'll see loud and clear that this is a team that you definitely don't want to miss out on as they hope to do some serious damage in the National League this season. With a talented squad led by David Wright, along with some up-and-comers gaining some national attention, the Mets will be looking to rise all the way to the top of the N.L. East standings.

The Experience

Though there are a few other sporting options out there these days, Major League Baseball remains the classic game that fans have been enjoying for generations – a trend that isn't likely to slow down any time soon. Though home games are great, road match-ups can be just as exhilarating, and there is nothing quite like watching your favorite team silence the home crowd with a towering homer or a sensational catch. As soon as you're there watching the big game the way it was meant to be seen, you'll be kicking yourself for not heading out and seeing the action for yourself.

The Team

These days, the Mets have another potent roster, including star third baseman David Wright, Curtis Granderson and hurler Bartolo Colon, giving fans plenty of reasons to head out and see if they have enough to get over the top in the N.L. East. It's not easy thanks to rivals like the Braves, Phillies, Nationals and Marlins, but the Mets have a talented squad that is looking to reach its potential in another year sure to be filled with twists, turns and nail-biting moments. Come out and meet the Mets this season and you'll see why watching the drama unfold before your very eyes is still the only way to truly experience Major League Baseball.

New York Mets Trivia

Did you know that Mike Piazza holds the record for most home runs in a single season for a Mets right-hander?

It's no wonder that Mike Piazza was considered a legend when he was taking to the field for the New York Mets, as he was power personified when he was in the heart of the Mets lineup. Though Carlos Beltran and Todd Hundley (both switch-hitters) both hit 41 in a season, Piazza remains the only pure right-hander in Mets history to hit at least 40 homers, and he remains the gold standard for catches with power.

New York Mets History

MLB tickets to see the New York Mets were never hotter than in 1969, when the Miracle Mets won the World Series and put together a season that fans still talk about to this day. They even won another world championship in 1986, though Mets fans are waiting for them to return to the top of the league. Over the years, Mets have been able to cheer for a variety of all-time greats, including Darryl Strawberry, Mike Piazza, Tom Seaver, Nolan Ryan and many more, helping make them one of the premier franchises in Major League Baseball in the process. You never know when the next all-time great is going to burst onto the scene, providing plenty of incentive to come out and see the stars of both today and tomorrow when they take to the diamond.

The Fans

Even though home games at Citi Field are something that every fan needs to do sooner or later, so too is attending an away game, as you'll end up with a completely different type of experience that will have you checking the road schedule every season from here on out. When your favorite player silences the home crowd with a majestic blast into the stands, you'll be glad that you're not sitting anywhere else. Home or away, prominent divisional foe or an interleague match-up, the Mets have another schedule packed with opportunities and possibilities, making it always a good idea to come out and see the Mets the way they were intended to be seen.
